英特尔发布Horse Ridge芯片 推动实现商业上可行的量子计算机

在实现量子计算机的功能和潜力竞争中,研究人员广泛关注量子位的制造,构建测试芯片,以证明叠加运行的少数量子位提高了指数级的计算能力。然而,在早期的量子硬件开发过程中,如在英特尔硅自旋量子位和超导量子位系统的设计、测试和表示中,英特尔发现实现商业规模量子计算的主要瓶颈是连接和控制电子设备。英特尔推出了一个巧妙的解决方案,可以控制多个量子位,并指出了系统未来扩展到更多量子位的方向,这是实现量子实用性的重要里程碑

如今,量子计算机在毫开尔文温度范围内运行,只比绝对零度高几分之一。然而,硅自旋量子位的特性使其能够在1开尔文或更高的温度下工作,这将大大降低冷却量子系统的挑战。随着研究的不断进展,英特尔的目标是在相同的温度下使低温控制和硅自旋量子位工作。英特尔可以充分利用其在先进包装和互联技术方面的专业知识,创建将量子位和控制器集成到精简包装中的解决方案。
